 The formula  for calculating GDP is:

GDP = private consumption + gross investment + government investment + government spending + (exports – imports).

1. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is that the widest quantitative measure of a nation's total economic activity like growth,slowdown etc. More specifically, GDP represents the price of all goods and services produced within a nation's geographic borders over a specified period of  time.
